You really love me - Poetry

in poetry •  7 years ago

A child to teenager to young woman
I watched my mother being betrayed
He promised to love and cherish her
Forsaking all other for her
He never kept his promise
Twice it happened to me
All around me i see
Promises made on a whim
Hearts boneless broken beyond repair
Ripped by betrayal
Trust forever lost
Faith prayer can never mend
The mind always remember
Ghost seen in each corner
Space muffins made my ghost real
A fear i have forgotten
Suppressed since childhood
Your speach about marriage
Promising to hold my hand
Two life times long
You live and work with adulterers
Guilty by assosiation
Your actions scream at me
My mind fight it
Your words whisper gently
My heart bath in the after glow
When you hold me
I know
I know the truth
I am head over heals inlove
Awaken a jealousy unknown to me
Fueled by my ghost

Coming off the high
Normalised thought
Your truth plunge into me
You are clear minded
I am included in all your dreams
You answer my every request
You tolerate my rollercoaster
You recognise my demons
Silently you imprisen them
You really love me
