Crown Jewel (Caturday Poetry)

Crown Jewel

Desmond,
is a spirit from above,
come to bring about my own,
delivered as a docile majestic Sphinx,
to remind humanity of its role and
of magic from times past.

Royalty and beauty,
crowned by omniscient jewels that see through the night and walls alike,
their vertebrae and physical ability,
defy the rules of physics...

They are the keepers of the secrets of the universe.
Capacity to hold the tongue,
and not divulge it all,
cats are no gossip queens
and this is why they rule.
They understand all tongues that wag
but choose to play the fool,
for fools are fed,
and given beds,
as pets they choose to stay.
Honor this animal and celebrate his moods, he lives as art,
a king of kings,
to watch him is to drink the ancients
and greet the gods
that escape great minds this day.
