Kairos

Opportunity
glaring into my still eyes
Time is in your midst!

The ancient Greeks had two words for time; chronos and kairos. While chronos is time in terms of measurable parameters, kairos is time based on an event and typically an event of opportunity. I think we are in living in a time where opportunities surround us. It is incumbent upon us to recognize those opportunities. Look around and see what kairos is in your midst. If given the proper consideration, it might change your life.

GREAT haiku @moeknows! Opportunity is like a crescent moon, waning and waxing, evermore, yet never the same! :-O You know it's there, but only the light can reveal it! Shine on Moe!

Thank you for that thought provoking comment. I like the way you put that.

Most outstanding @moeknows!

I do need to follow you a little better. I just love your work. tip!

Thank you for such a great comment and your generosity. I doubt that I can adequately express how accomplished that makes me feel. Seriously, thank you.

that's why kairos has been considered to be a revolutionary concept. Italian radical philosopher Antonio Negri writes on it in his "Time for Revolution"

Hmm. Interesting. I will have to look into him. Thanks for reading and commenting.
