Our dance

/
We have this crazy dance
You and I
Where our hands break bones
And our feet are daggers
Scraping flesh off bodies

We have this crazy dance
Where my eyes constantly shift
But you never lose sight of me
Twirling
And twirling

We have this dance
Its steps imprinted
On my body
My brain
Every inch of childhoodmemory

I know its steps
I know its dark, hollowness
My dear old friend
Do not think i’d ever leave you
For you could never leave me

And as the flesh on my soles burns
Yet again
I twirl.
