Roses
Bloody eyes
Filled with hate
I imagine
My revenge
Never Ending
Feel my pain
Won't you lend a hand?
You walk with me
In this field of land
Roses Lilacs Jasmine
Too perfect to be plundered
Yet they all end up dying
In the hands of the taker
You reach out your hand
Thinking to help me up
I pull out a dagger
And stab you in the gut
Blood spurts out
Some of the crimson gets on my clothes
I bring up my dagger
Wiping off your blood on my shirt
I get to my feet
Looking at you
You are bleeding profusely now
And I just stand there watching the life drain from you
You lie there limp
Dead
Another casualty caused by me
You never did anything wrong to me
All you did was try to help
And for that you paid the price
I walk away from your corpse
Turning my back to you
I don't have time to worry about corpses right now
I have a life to destroy
I hate myself
I'm a monster
I'm a killer
What stands tender blowing in the wind
Eagerly awaits your loving touch
You bring it to your nose
Deep breath in
Appreciating the gift of beauty
That all life gives

Anger caressing soft petals
Spilling out your favorite color
Red Roses
Sitting in a broken vase
That once graced a royal place
You laugh at the idea that something so regal
Would end up here with you
The thorns prick at your fingers
But you do not care
You press your face into them
Breathing in the sweet scent

It was all that could be heard
It rang in my ears like an anthem of praise
I turn
Smiling speech
Such a sight to behold
An angel
With a halo and all
Holding out a single rose
My heart skips many beats as I reach for it
Gripping it firmly in my hand
"Why thank you"
My voice cracks as I speak
I should be used to your beauty by now
But I never seemed to get over it
You laugh
Holding up a single finger
Commanding me to wait
Before bounding off out of sight
I stare at the rose now pressed against my chest
In awe of your ability to make me feel this way
