Roses are blue

"One more gulp before tripping", I bravely whispered.
Jazzed out pop before taking some blazing mustard.
Say me well to those kinsmen that never faltered.
Wish me hell like those scoundrels that ever bothered.

I'm rowing off the bridge, my soul is my boat.
I'm going off the pitch, my role's not to float.
Oh scavengers of the sea, capture me with your might!
Oh avengers of the siege, torture me in your light!

The hope is no more, but I see my sun shine.
My legs in the air have been pedalling nothing.
I feel the sea floor and release the phone line.
In one month or two, they 'll be pressing buttons.
