Take this pen
dip it in the well
put it to paper
and the ink will flow.
Sometimes it will scratch the page
so be sure to dip it again
so the ink keeps flowing
and the words keep forming.
Your hand may grow cramped
so hold the pen loosely
you'll be tempted to slouch
but sit straight and keep going.
Sometimes there's no sound
but it will still be your comfort
the pressure that's needed
is less than you think.
When you get it right
you wont know it at first
you'll get lost in your task
and press on with the pen.
The pen is just a tool
but the words on the page
those are your life
and your nib is now dry.
