Hello Steemians! hope you're having an awesome day and doing something that makes you happy. Excited to share another poem with you all, hopefully you like it and feel free to give me feedback! As you can probably tell a lot of my poetry is free verse, I do want to delve into more structured poetry (gahh my brain is already doing flips over the word "structured" 😭😭) and possibly song writing so if any fellow creatives have words of advice or want to exchange verses would love to connect. Art is a perpetual reflection of circumstances
our realities are self created manifestations of a misinterpretation of data from external stimuli
ponder why,
great struggle spawns masterful works of creation
ingenuity birthed by identical chords played in infinite ways
free minds traumatized
leading to un-caged thoughts
unafraid to walk down not yet paths
the definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again expecting different results.
Fear clouds universal truths
art can save humanity
because it's essence is pure
unconstrained by pain and fear that teaches we are limited.
You are truly free when your heart feels these truths
our existence purchased by the compulsory sacrifice
of half our waking hours to mindless regurgitations of purposeless information
is the greatest tragedy of the current generation
the power of humanity to transcend current
reality is on the cusp of technological advancements
you were not born to toil in mud and sand
to keep up with your ever changing neighbors
always invest in yourself FIRST, a timeless lesson
looping again and again until we alter our misdirection
