Memory of Sorrow

A single living rose
Among this garden full of woes
Hearts calling out
My love will abide
Remembering in my minds eye
The day we met
The day you died
Treading through this garden
All those years ago
A single rose you did pick
Vibrantly red against the snow
Sorrow
Sorrow
This memory does hold
A pure white background
Splashed with red
A single rose
You had fled
Life is coming to a close
For on that day
You lay beside the bleeding rose
