Nigeria: where do we go from here?

in poetry •  7 years ago

Of the deplorable condition
That things are in the various sectors of our Nation

I'm asked to give an explanation
I've thought for a while with all concentration

I'm still searching for a good destination
I opine that all learn the principle of delayed gratification
Such that while we experience depravation

We can always remember the coming generation
If the leaders think more of the teeming population

We will have less people without occupation
They won't just come up with policies without implementation

Today

We hear monetization

Tomorrow

It will be dualization

Both differ in spelling and pronunciation
Policies that the masses will never know their implications
Big grammar without execution
Wages remain minimal and we pay more on taxation

Children don't enjoy their parents' contributions

Two constant factors in education
Matriculation before convocation

There's nothing to be enthusiastic about over graduation

Cause it could be the beginning of starvation

Graduates are going back to village plantations

Others with less strength keep reading daily publications
They keep pen on paper writing application
For jobs they will never get based on qualification
The less qualified ones will even get employed with the right connection
Having gotten the job don't even think of relaxation
Because if you are not ready to play by their rules what you get is termination
How then does one raise a family with proper provision?

There are more questions but there's just one solution

Everyone should conduct for himself an internal sanitation

Submit our value system and intentions to GOD for HIS verification

Only then can we know Peace which is an indication
That our country stands the chance of being in a better position.

This is profound! We indeed need two major factors of change in Nigeria - a changed value system and God's Intervention

Our value system in Nigeria is the crux of all things that needs to be changed. This starts from. The socialization of a new born. Inputing the right values into these younger generations will go a long way to a refined nigeria.

We shall keep spreading the word while looking at ourselves in the mirror

The change must start with me!

Oh boy! This is fabulous! Beautifully written, perfectly delivered....you are the real deal Seun. Great job!

Thank you for sharing your story. I have a Nigerian coworker and he was explaining to me the curreny state of the country. Please check out ou blog!

Yeah. I appreciate your comment. We believe the best of our nation and we are sure that Nigeria shall rise out of the rubble of corruption and under development.

Yes! She shall rise again!!
