There is this thing,
a disconnect.
A silly little thing,
this disconnect.
My quirky little disconnect, as seen in a pool of blood. Light shining from a door supposed to be shut. Left alone, because of disconnect, a girl broken. A failure to reconnect. Simple moments lost in time, staring at scenes supposed to be sublime. Reconnect. Comprehension takes hold, meaning gets told. Simple moments lost to time observed to be remembered, simply sublime. Disconnect.
A Failure to comprehend, void of intent. Empty spaces only to the mind. Seeing it all yet darkness resides. A silly little thing this disconnect, difficult to explain like remembering the smell of rain.
Not a failure to reconnect, just a willingness to disconnect. A mental rest unless you ponder this silly little disconnect.

Not permanent, I don't think. Maybe it is a degree always present, but not in control. when all else seems to need a break maybe it takes over then. It is not a bad thing the disconnect, not for me. My precious little disconnect.

I had a silly little disconnect yesterday with my wireless mouse. Couldn't figure it out until I looked inside, and one of the batteries I had to reconnect!
