Thunderstorms

175572438-520x400.jpg

My eyes see only dust
Strong winds block out my ears
Strange dark shapes arise everywhere
Embodying my fears.
Where is the sun?
Where has she gone?
The fierce storm rages on.
Lightning strikes, thunder claps,
I am lost, is all lost?

A swirling turmoil deep within
That only I can feel
A desperation so complete
A stronger man could kill.
The eye is blind,
The centre’s torn,
My dreams all rent apart;
Lightning strikes, thunder claps,
I am lost, is all lost?

Trouble here, trouble there,
Trouble everywhere,
I scream aloud, I scream in fear
I scream in deep despair.
No one is here to hear my cries
No one is here to help;
Lightning strikes, thunder claps,
I am lost, all is lost.
