The Struggle

Since birth my life was destined to fight,

Ever pushing and striving to find the light,

To make me stronger for the day to come,

I'll be ready to face the music instead of run.


I've picked up bruises and scars along the way,

I guess that's the path we take to live our day

In peace when overcoming life's ups and downs,

I pray that these struggles will swim and drown.
