In search of gold
I drowned seas
Caged breeze
And made the wild home
In search of what I never had
I did what I wouldn't have
For what I want, I did so much more than pray
That I may not want, so I preyed.
In search of greener pastures
I burned it all
Family, Love, such weakening ties?
I doused it all.
They say old is gold
Mine wasn't so
For in search of gold
I became a sore tale to be told.
Only by no one in no home.
