Woman of Screech and Claw

for the contest!! yay

Quiet contemplation
in humanities surround
screeching silence upward rising
with the falling of the ground
Cold and reverberating shivers
sweat and icy palms
chills from spine to chest
beating hearts
no calm

Stepping forward half and quarter paces
for every backwards glance
sideways weaving structures
visions blur and dance

Clicking clacking ticking sounds
from around each winding bend
omnious guiding siren songs
lull you to your end

CONTINUATION

Tangled within fingers
teeth against steel
like a prayer for those writhing within
hoping for the familiar rush
of a seaside burned in memory,
frozen in the flurry of cracked glass eyes
and flying, flying -

Crackling with the earth
walks your woman of screech and claw
The wires of a twisting heart
pound her chest until
there is only stone and a memory of
the whistling breeze,
and quiet.
