The Sandman's Projection

Screen Shot 2020-02-07 at 3.15.04 PM.jpg

a whistled breath
sweetened with wine
           accompanies this
the sandman’s projection
created and inhabited by two
a hologram upon a cosmic ceiling
dusted with galactic seeds pods
softly ribbed with night silver plaster

honey and sandalwood
scent the Way
the brush of skin on skin
tattoos the code
reveals a key to a door
           unlocks the shutters
bares the limitless
allows in air, the space to be
opens a transit
           between silken folds

gentle digits climb
                      the body
traverse a caged staircase
summit a soft mount
we enter the rungless Mind
           fall into
a shifted and shared descent

a nebulous love scene
various poses
elegantly exquisite
changeable and fading
preserved in word and memory
                      shut out
by the glaring insistence
           of the savage sun
the flood lights turn on
the day-mare pollution
of worry and responsibility

           the magic is obscured

the most experience-rich
           passion and love
confused for only a dream

This is a really exquisite, passionate poem. It's sad that the dream of two lovers reach a state of zen with each other is extinguished by waking to the light day, but it's certainly a beautiful dream while it lasts!

We do love our reality and facing ... alas. But there is always another setting sun. Thank you, Victor. Your comment means a lot:)
