Six Feet Deep

Six Feet Deep

You broke a million hearts
And carried invisible scars
You wrote your life away
You felt you had a debt to pay
Had your way
It was your day
You stepped off of the edge
Plunged from a 50 foot ledge
And you got swept away
And gone you were sure to stay
But now you're back again
While my heart is still on the mend
You should have said good-bye
Instead you cut me with your knife
Carved your name on my heart
Made me want to run from the start
But I melted in your eyes
As you slid between my thighs
We rode the storm away
And turned our night to day
But the sun blinded you
You turned and on again you flew
Like a distant star
I see you from afar
I long to taste your youth
To feel all of you
Your warmth always kept me high
You always breathed your life
Into my hour glass
But now I feel smothered from the sand
And like the hands of time
You again ticked and took your life
But forever you will be
My angel six feet deep
