"Flight"

I want to go
where tomorrow's a perfervid kiss
never dull and dreadful
while the present full of bliss.

I want to go
to overlook life's brevity
and walk through the earth
where flowers bloom for all eternity.

I want to go
where lucent stars watch me sleep
where hearts are etched with kindness
no more tears to weep.

I want to go
to paths tangled in a wreath
a voyage to the unfamiliar
while I am still able to breathe.
