Watching, Waiting

Watching, waiting, I think about the cold children on the street
For adrift I've fallen asleep in lucid dreams, led by my heart's beat
As I search for refuge, amongst these many long stormy days
Waiting, watching, the rivalry of the blue oceans and the bays
As tomorrow breaks, on barren faces with a clouded whirlwind
Bringing to thought, sweet things said, promises lost in mind
For the apple of my eye is rotting, for a view hard to come by
Watching, waiting, for a prophet's cries to be heard in the sky

Waiting, watching, my soul's in hungriness for my dear lover
Alas, I do not want to dwell here all alone, oh almighty Jehovah
A faded leaf, in the hands of a dying dusk, it's like only time grows
Watching, Waiting, for my seed in concrete to bloom into a rose
As a home wind blows gentle, rushing afar into the wilderness
Toil without ease, from North to East, everybody's in bitterness
Will not my love come to me, a broken paddle on the red sea
Waiting, watching, a winter solstice with miles of ice, is all I see

Watching, waiting, an injured reed with a desire I can not wish
And till day breaks anew, I make crystal clear rivers for fish
A thousand thoughts forgotten, a hundred pleasant memories buried
Waiting, watching, only I can do my part, as the night's chill is carried
Of hope, and of everything, remembrance of rain upon a torn roof
I sit alone with the moon many times, speaking of a lifetime gone poof
When the waters freeze upon the breeze, halcyon summer trees
Watching, waiting, for the light to rise once again from its knees

Waiting, watching, I dream about you in an open green field
Oh, I do not want to weep, but this emotions are deep and I feel
An alien touch upon me, and a ball of fire chasing from outer space
Watching, waiting, I can only pray in broadening darkness for my fate
To cover up my eyes least I gaze, at beautiful things in an ugly place
From West to South, the cycle runs on and on, nonstop, the human race
A point of view, I envision strange scenes from many bent chamfers
Waiting, watching, I think about life's unending questions without any answers.

@riahdex Nice poetry...in the 2nd paragraph I noticed you said 'almighty Jehovah'...I appreciate when people refer to God particularly by his name. Nice
