The Path To Redemption (A Poem)

Wounds of the past
slowly healing.
Before he believed
that he'll never last
but fate had different
plan for him, so now
he's recovering at last.

A new future seemed to be
waiting at the horizon.
The sun slowly rising
to the east as if basking
him to its light and
before he realized he's
changing, changing and
becoming a better person.

A trial that's never easy,
yet somehow he survived.
Despite his deepest thoughts,
he'd gotten away from his past
and is now walking a different path
—the path to redemption.
