A Poem - I’m not paying taxes any more

“You don’t have to follow systems you don’t want to
Even if the masses say you must”
Well, I paid my taxes yesterday
Then I tripped on unsteady pavement
Didn’t I pay for good roads?
I called the doctor; he said he’d see me in a month
Now I’m wondering what I pay taxes for?
Am I just funding someone else’s war?
£400K for every bomb for every man, woman, and child in Yemen
Where’s my cut of the blood money?
I helped pay for that
I even helped bomb Libya and Iraq
So my taxes are making that profitable terrorism money
For rich people
And the rest… it gets given to rich people
So tax is a scam
It’s a Derren Brown trick of the mind
London’s garden bridge was rigged
And our MPs our on about their new boat
Who paid for that?
And I’m still paying for every person on the street
Government won’t house them because they’re generating money from them in their economically inactive state
More sinkholes for your tax pounds to be soaked up by greedy government mates
Our current economic system makes no sense& our tax system is a systematic robbery
But the majority remains economically not political
The systems have been imagined
Do as you please
I don’t care what the majority say or do
Or what sort of authoritarian systems you may agree to
You can make all the excuses you want, but you are the one who decides how to live your life
I’m going to fund my own war
I’m not paying my taxes any more
