She stared at a blank space
Eyes half open
Searching for any presence
There! A tiny light sparkled

She gasps for air as she stretches
Lungs enlarge
Exchange of oxygen-carbon dioxide
Breathe!

She tried to reach the luster
A metal enclosed in gold rubber
Eyes still half open
Press, glide and unleash

She slumped into darkness
Thoughts wandering with fairies
Flying through every proportions
Cease! A luminosity resurfaced

She once again hunted
She held out for the metal
Press, glide and unleash
This time hoping it would be longer

She began to escape reality
Wandering amongst time and events
Hopeful and doubtful
Deleting negativity that may come

She realised time is up
One, two and three she counted
Then caressed every follicle
Finally! Eyes wide open

She sighed with a grin thinking
Wake up, get up, and live
She reached for the metal
Encrypted the key, stop snooze

-the struggle of waking up. 😬
