The window rattles
The storm's fury pounds
Inside the house
Comes a medley of sounds


Roof timbers creaking
Shifting noises and knocks
The wind ever questing
As it rattles the locks


A gusting crescendo
A roaring great din
You can rage all you want
You are not getting in
