Living death

in poetry •  6 years ago

I look all around,
In this shallow concrete grave,
Then quietly close my eyes,
As I feel my body age.

I've been dead for quite some time,
Not on the outside but within,
And this sudden dark surprise,
Was just the nail that shut me in.
