When there is a lack of warmth, we feel cold. The snow capped mountain and the shivering symbolize a lack of warmth, ie., love. The deprivation of love causes stinging pain and shivers, causing death.
One becomes pale and sees no colour in life as well. Everything else has ceased to inspire. Hence, it seems as though one is alive only because of one’s breath.
Learn to live
You are seated on the slope of a snow-capped mountain
Stung with pain and shivering to death;
Life seems to be a colourless fountain,
And your means to live is solely breath.
You look around, all is wonderful:
Trees, farms, houses – so colourful!
Think deep to lighten your heart,
Trying to forget the one apart.
You tend to shed tears
Causing agony and pain;
It helps to disintegrate all fears,
And you learn to live once again!
