The Question

You ask me "y"
Tell me you haven't felt a thing all this while;
Tell me you weren't drawn to me even before I knew you;
Tell me you didn't subtly try to impress me with your swag;
Tell me you didn't tell me your story to empathize with me;
Tell me you didn't secretly wish to be alone with me;
Tell me your eyes didn't light up at my presence;
Tell me you didn't smile to yourself when you heard me laugh;
Tell me your heart didn't skip a beat when I looked at you in the eye;
Tell me you weren't drawn to the warmth of my love;
Tell me you didn't believe that we could love each other enough;
Tell me you didn't have faith that I'd love you in spite of your scars;
Tell me you aren't aware of how much your indifference is killing me;
Tell me you don't want to love me;
Only then shall I hopelessly attempt to answer you with my silent tears.
