Dear Mama, I will always remember you
When I am happy or sad
For you are the kindest, dearest mother in the whole world.

I remember the days
When I had no money for school
And when I went without food
Yet you tried hard to keep me in school.

In the cold of winter, you were the first to rise
To go to work
In the rain, the wind
You were always off on the road to work

Oh Mother! You are the bravest woman in the world
There were times when you were ill
When you could not walk or talk
But you never gave up

I will always remember your encouraging words
"Be bold and brave my son",
"For this world has thorns that prick hard".
"It needs courageous men to defeat it"
"So don't lose hope and you will be a man".

Mama, I will never forget you
For you brought light to my world.
