Oh My, Spiders Can Fly!

in poetry •  7 years ago

Among sticks and stone I came to be
Tiptoeing about in search of glee
Streaming silk I beseech thee
May summer winds favor me

Brothers and sisters give cries of delight
As a gust of wind provides us flight
Holding onto my box kite
I soaring to an incredible height

Above the trees and clouds I go
The wind carry me to and fro
Sadly the wind begins to slow

Floating down with grace and easy
I come to rest among the trees
Now to just wait for the next breeze!

An Arabian sonnet about ballooning spider
