Guilty: A Blueberry Cobbler Caper

Out of the oven
the cobbler cooled
sending out sweet aromas
causing senses to drool

Glancing to the left
and then to the right
looking for an opportunity
the future looks bright

The edge of the table
oh so close
peering around the corner
no time to boast

Time to strike
pulling at the table cloth
the prize falls down
quietly landing like a moth

Oh so good
savoring every bite
guilt shown with blueberries
a remarkable site

Now caught with the prize
running away with delight
spreading blueberries everywhere
giving few people a fright

Sleeping now
after enduring the wrath
there was some laughter
and a pleasant bath
