The Lost Paradise

in poetry •  6 years ago

Light fades, teardrops, everyone battles in confusion
The earth quakes, birds fly for their nest; everyone seeks shelter to hide their head
Babies cry, streams dry and oceans fold for dry land.
Safety is far from us
My soul bleeds

Bomb explodes, people scream, tumult everywhere
Terrorism becomes the order of the day
Indigenes flee for safety, how our fathers’ land has been flooded with blood seekers
I weep for our generation
My soul bleeds

Where do we go from here?
We’ve lost our loved ones to mayhem
To humans who have no love for others
To humans who chose to destroy the hardcore of humanity
My soul bleeds

How humans have become savages
Killing each other for material possessions
They love money more than human life
Human blood becomes their wine
Who will salvage us from these abnormalities…
My soul bleeds
We have lost our paradise….
