snowflakes falling from the sky,
quickly disappear as time passes by
moments floating as they descend
and you try to wish upon them all
spinning hopes into familiar songs
feeling like home hovering there
warm even when the winter’s so cold
precious even though they’re going
as long as you play as fallen angel
you can pretend they’re never gone
close your eyes forever and dream
they aren’t ever going to reach down
to ground with your soaring feather wings
but if you can’t catch them sooner
than the springtime sun will shine
say that they live beneath your skin
waiting for you to take them back again
to the heavens for next winterfall.
