Evicting the memory

in poetry •  7 years ago

When it comes to write to you,
I allow myself to be tough and write without lying.
Because saying I love you through letters is easier.
Because through letters I dream and where I’m heading is not important,
Because through letters my aching is fewer,
this keyboard can’t hear me nor feel my pain.
Because through loneliness none suspect of a crying.

I swore it wouldn’t hurt,
even though I swore it wouldn’t be happening again.
That three letters before I broke up with you.
Because when you avoid looking at me something was going wrong.
Because when one run out of words there no love left.
Because none survives silence.
Because none can scape without a scratch from the indifference.

Who dares to share one doubting?
Who assures it if there were no witnesses?
Who is brave and risk it all?
If love is what moves us, why are we waiting for signs?
What I get from confessing this love?

When it comes to write to you,
I’ll do it fearless, shouting with my fingertips.
When it comes to write to you
I’ll do it expecting no replay.
