[Poetry] Age

in poetry •  6 years ago

Age is just a number,
the number of rotations,
you made around the sun.
So don’t call for respect,
because of the year,
you were born.
Don’t count your life,
in the years you spent
on this earth,
Count it in the moments,
when you were out of breath.
Count it by the moments,
you feel you’re alive.
Don’t spend your life,
counting the years,
waiting for something to happen.
Live your life,
do what you like,
and what you don’t,
especially do those things,
that you don’t like,
so you could experience everything.
Age is just a number,
and it doesn’t represent your life.
