TIME WILL TELL

in poetry •  8 years ago

"When broken souls cram dirty holes,
Across countless concrete acres.

And drowning eyes scan black-scorched skies,
For a sign from their Makers. Where hope has died and love has lied,
And all is lost to fable. Even family and friends meet starving ends,
Turned away from your table. Is this the way we'll be some day,
Sooner than we really hope? Or will we survive when fate arrives?
And thrive instead of cope. So keep in mind to leave behind,
A world that's smart and well. Not harsh and wild so every child,
Inherits living hell! Time will tell."
