Play before and after reading poem

The TV star
Had just left set
Cameras off
Stage reset
Time for dinner
And cigarettes
But the laugh track kept on playing

In his car
Heading home
Everything still
In monochrome
Like the silver screen
Or polished chrome
His world just kept on graying

Into the house
Too big for just one
He went to his safe
And got out a gun
With one single shot
All was undone
...But the laugh track kept on playing
