Crushed by her Crush

For the umpteenth time, he called me Lucy
Severally, I had told him my name was Tracy

No questions asked, I feel so hurt
Seems so trivial but gave a deep cut

I told him he could have my heart
But he went and bought himself a cat

Oh boy, was I mad?
Still, he did not care a tad

Oh Lawd, I wish he could be mine
Why, the brother looks so fine

Like an answer, he sent me a “Hi”
I confess it got me strung so high

Alas. It was not meant to be
Felt as though I was stung by a bee

What? He gave an ultimatum
One I will ever hide from mum

Pondering, I asked why the rush
Simply he said “I am your crush”
