Emily Dickinson's White Dress

Emily Dickinson wore only white after her father died. It is speculated she wore it to "escape death" as it was an innocent and pure color she wrote about often. There is also speculation she found it intense.... as in "white hot heat". She wore this dress almost daily after her father's death. Emily-Dickinson-1.jpg
