remember

comin
from the interstice
the place in between
stepping up to show you things
you aint never seen
or believed in
or even knew existed
i found them out
because i persisted
in searching out
knowledge
anywhere i can
meta-physical
philosophy
helped me to understand
how one day
i started along down this path
trying to find happiness
a place where i could laugh
and not feel my pain
i place where all my
tears could
disappear
down dark drains....

now time's gone by
and i've grown stronger
i found that the path
is so much longer
than can be traveled
in one
single lifetime
each and every day
provides another sign
the rhymes
they help with
understanding
the society we live in's
so god damn demanding
using up all the resources
of the poor and the young
some say the
revolution's over
i think its yet to come

as i walk around
and look through
these end times
i see
black white red yellow
have got to rewind
those memory tapes
and see who you are
just another being
on a globe round a star

just one in many
though equally unique
by opening all eyes
you begin to get a peek
inside glide
even turn into a freak
start answering questions that
other people speak
in this way suddenly
you'll be called wise
see the sea blue of the sky
erupt right inside
leave violence behind
come on everybody
it's time to rewind
those memory
tapes
and see
who you are
just another being
on
