Find Me #Prose

in poetry •  5 years ago

Find me a star
One black as tar
A pot of melanin
But can still afford to shine
Bright and make my nights
Leak of romanticised sweat
There in the dark
As our silhouettes mate.

Find me the one
The right one to be the one
They will anchor me firmly
Help my soul to stay still
Patiently working to fill
These empty spaces
That echo some unneeded voices
That question my every choice
My free spirit intends to pursue.

Find me my missing sun
Like a mother in search of a lost son
For the days feel much darker
Shadows following much closer
I need to find the light
That will light my way out
This cave with dark alleys of worries
Looking to cage my being for life.

Find me the spiritual rain
A way to cleanse this goddamn pain
The path to my elusive freedom
As I seek to let my spirit roam
Horizons to horizons
Scavenging for more lessons
On how to free self from depression
And finally be able to live.
