I am broken as I am whole
the world weighs heavy on my soul
constantly trying to melt these aging bones.

I am solid as I am the wind
drifting between emotions so maligned
by the tongues of those who assume they are perfection.

I am straight as I am gay
diverse women excite me when they slay
as I absorb needed light from their electrifying freedom.

I am fertile as I am barren
my womb's fruits feet walk this earth ferine
yet my dry throat won't let my expectant mind be birthed.

I am light as I am the dark
within me lies a growing glowing spark
while my skin adorns the night even under the burning sun.

I am the earth as I am water
providing ground for my invisible pillars to scatter
as I quench the obvious thirst for love and light wherever.

I am unending chaos as I am loud silence
trying to fight concealed demons with defiance
while investing religiously to my chase for inner quietness.

I am human more than anything
saturated in imperfections among other things
reeking of flaws and a few regrets with a hint of hope for the future.
