Parse: Sailors' sustenance

in poetry •  6 years ago

Discussion of the day,
Dinner’s delight,
Rolly polly pudding & pie,
Preparing to feast,
Below deck juggling the sway,
Holding on one handed,
Readying a scrumptious banquet,
Legs bowed body nimble,
Chop chop storming a cookout,
Challenging the equilibrium,
Finger snipped a near miss,
Keelling over,
Carrot a stray,
Yo-yoing the swell too & fro,
Rouge vegetable gone to the blige,
Balancing the ocean’s motion,
Cautiously stirring the broth,

Swish swash,
Gimbling stove spillage none,
Meal served galley to hatch,
Cockpit munching,
Sea goes calm,
Voices silenced,
Ocean swell dwindled,
Brimful bellies overflowing,
Sailors sustenance fed

Not the meal described above, none the lees , a refreshing homely smell of fresh bread a thousand nautical miles from any coast. Sailor's sustenance filled :-)
