God’s talking to me again
Our conversations are brisk and refreshing
A great complement to the winter that’s persisting
Florida winters are cool breezes and 80 degrees

My rational mind ranks sin according to different degrees
Oh, how silly for me think that what I do in immediacy
Has any bearings on what God will do in the infinite
God is God, sin is sin, his eternal plans are concrete

Nevertheless, having pure intentions are important to him
He wants us to love him more than the world we live in
But it's hard to pay attention to the divine and spiritual
When innate sin drives me to participate in licentious

Malicious and covetous; everything opposite of righteousness
I have a human right for this! At least that’s what I say
To myself, when the guilt is felt, after I disobey
But fuck a Phillippians! I am only a human just trying to live!

But then I think of the red and pink that was spilled
To enjoy this life I live, and to enjoy the privilege
Of hearing God’s whisper so clear in my ear
I’m so glad God’s talking to me again
