This is deceitful
This is a deciduous forest
A maze of utmost importance

This is the Oval Office
This is the motive of gods and goddesses
This is a carnivorous tumor
This is the bad apple in a bag of produce
This is the carnival ride where someone has died
This is a tower of lies
This is the pilot that knows the plane won’t land softly
This is the seed of treason
This is what a mouse is to the elephant in the room
This is the unknown element not on the periodic table
This is the tranquilizer to all the horses in the stable
This is a hundred degrees Fahrenheit and yellow-green acreage
This is unforeseeable death
This is the unspeakable truth
This is what the white kids say when Jerome’s not a school
This is the unborn baby of an eighteen-year-old daughter
Her father is a pastor, abortion is the only option

This is the innocent man on death row
This is mommy’s friend when daddy’s not home
This is addiction to blow
This is the college student on a silver pole
Do your thang baby girl, make that tuition
This is a predominantly white institution

This is Santa Claus to an elementary school student
This is the tree of knowledge of good and evil
Imagine if Adam and Eve ate more than one fruit

This is the night when we were all too drunk to remember
But I remembered

This is a Secret
