Starving: The "Deep State" and Disaster Capitalism

Nice - I am a social worker in New Orleans and my colleagues know how I (very angrily) feel about this odd infrastructure, where among other things, every disaster is seen as an opportunity to entice federal funds, developers, or industry looking for subsidy... I also lived in Mobile, AL when the BP Oil Spill happened. I can really get wordy about these things, so I'll just stop there.
Are you from around the gulf?

Hey mate, yeah it's bloody despicable. Don't need conspiracy, the reality is grim enough. I'm from Australia, hence the rhyming might sound a little off - it works with an Aussie accent!

Respect for the career choice, tough gig even in affluent cities. Would love to visit New Orleans, really enjoyed Treme - music, food and fusion of cultures looks amazing.

Thanks man, look forward to more of your posts.

Cheers mate, following you back and just posted a couple tracks from a few years ago as requested by Jason. Not the best example of what Aus has to offer, but will still be interesting if you've only ever heard Iggy Azalea's fake accent tripe.
