DARKNESS

In the complete darkness,
I feel like I am blind.
Every step can take me
Into this deep pit.
I feel alone,
Detached.
It is radiating all around me,
Thickening around my senses.
The delusions catch up with me,
The remorse is overwhelming,
And the paralysing fear
Clogs all intrepid pretenses.

And I have to think about it,
The sense of inebriating darkness
Does the vile
Of the demons
That my enemies are
As much justice
As it does me.
And rooting for
What can be done
Than the mere hope for it,
I plunder intermittent stances
From the shifting land;
I stand.
