Soul and Mind

"When we see the brain realize that we are, at one level, no more than meat; and on another, no more than fiction"

-Paul Broks (Into the Silent Land)

From Soul to Mind

The same idea given a different name
It is believed that the two are not the same
We opened the brain and what do we find?
A labyrinthine web that creates the mind

We've pondered upon this notion
from night until day
So subjective to our reality that we've become stuck in our ways

We subsist in nothingness...emptiness..space
bounded by this idea that time could not erase
We are, at our core, just flesh and bone
with the power to wield stick and stone
