Image of a Fire's Shadow

The thread of life unfurls and winds
Through the half-light of our minds.
Thoughts are countless motes
That dance and glimmer awhile:
They float to catch to light
And then, as if in fright,
Spin on in sudden guile ---
And let the darkness gloat.
We, in silent knowledge stand,
Bearing mind to give command.
We, who are the quenchless thirst,
We, who are the Dark reversed.

I really like the last two lines...
"We, who are the quenchless thirst,
We, who are the Dark reversed."

Beautiful :D

It was a fabulous finale, wasn't it? Just lovely, my friend!

I like your rhymes! thirst and reversed do something interesting in counterpoint.
