My heart was bound to take all the hate,

on that field of sand,

where blood, tears and sweat mingles with the earth,

we waged war.

Your thoughts of a lion lives in the dark,

that loves only the moon filled with blood,

I tried my best to make peace mirrored through my displeasure,

my opinion was innocent like an infant,

No way! ego was the enemy,

as friends we never showed each other our guts,

before now our unity was like a broom,

we swept the ocean, this made our feets thread on waters.

Now our boats of friendship are adrift,

stirred by tempest of selfish ambitions.

The gods offers the chances; they chose me.

who will rule this jungle?

As we wrestle, this is war between brothers,

Our swords clash, uttering whispers;

we fight, we die or we make peace,

I weep remembering what we shared,

albeit the night will be long and lonely on this field but

for you to see, my heart was ready to take all your hate.

MY THOUGHTS

Sadness has refused to leave my heart for the past few days, writing and watching random movies seems to console me, tonight I needed something to pen down before I sleep, So I got the Inspiration to write this poem when a flashback of an anime I watched back in 2012 crossed my mind, I wrote this piece thanks to the story line of rivalry and strife the anime portrayed.
