Who will you become this time?

A struggling sound of a broken chime?

A wordless poet who desperately mimes?

A robber of stars denying its crimes?

Sometimes, you are the cherry on a cake

Sweetness overload, I can no longer take

All the dulcet sentences you make me swallow

At the end of the day, I am still hollow

On rainy days, you are the vicious thunder

Rumbling tune, the epitome of anger

My drizzle lullaby can not make you calm

You get me spinning at the top of your palm

An enigmatic wolf when the moon is full

A ravenous carnivore in a constant pull

And I offer my innocence for your satisfaction

Your daydream in command, all for passion

You can be the hush before the tragedy

Entangling limbs, gentle pecks, overly needy

You can be the cracks on the pavements

Raw marks, rough strokes, eternal engravement

You can be the moon or stars as you please

For everything you do is in order to appease

But when it’s time to explain the reason why

You just run away because everything is a lie

Putting on your mask, I can see your rage

Is it because you’re just a torn up page

Of a book of fiction you forlornly written

And the list of lovers that you have smitten

You cling on to your countless faces and names

When the truth is you’re just veiling your shame

You’re just a character of a faraway dream

A hallucination that can not be redeemed

So who will you become this time?

A young professional at his prime?

A poetry that actually rhymes?

Or maybe the right side of a dime?
