Life & Death Haikus: All By One's Lonesome (Original Poem)

Souls in solitude
We are tested in patience
Many will break down...

No matter how tough one's exterior persona may seem to be, deep down inside they are dealing with a turmoil embedded deep within the folds of their soul. They have experienced something so traumatizing, something so unforgettable, unspeakable, and unchangeable. They have held it in always and when the crowds have stopped moving, and the walls surround this individual, and they know and hope they are not under another's eye sight and scrutiny, they openly reveal in silent all the pain and depression weighing them down day and night. Be sure to be careful how you treat one another. We are fragile and delicate in specific areas. I have witnessed the toughest crumble at the most unforeseeable moments when an issue was raised up dear to their hearts. Continue to heal and inspire others with the gifts and talents God has given you in this broken and cold world.

There is not a person in this world that is not fighting some sort of an internal battle. Regardless of a position, wealth, influence...we all have to live with our demons. And the people who look the toughest on the outside are usually the first to crumble once you crack that shield.
Nice haiku. Reminded me to be nicer to everyone.
